This hoghead cheese is an excellent product. Great balance of flavors. No vinegar taste and not too jello like. Jean Freau's in Chalmette is a little too jello like. The hot is not hot at all, couldn't taste any spicyness but still an excellent product. Absolutely will purchase again.

Flavorful Hogshead Cheese

The Hogshead Cheese arrived intact and professionally packaged to be shipped to Venice Ca. I unthawed in the refrigerator, when it was ready to be sliced it was the best Hogshead Cheese, I have had very rich flavor with a nice texture, I shared it with a couple of people of co-workers they were impressed, I will be purchasing from Bourgeois Market in the near future! keep up the outstanding quality!!

I grew up with homemade hogshead cheese and loved it. When my older aunts and uncles passed away, I turned to store bought hogshead cheese...YUCK!
