Shane Thibodaux

Shane is a fourth generation butcher. He is the son of Anita Bourgeois and George Thibodaux. Like most of the Bourgeois family, he grew up in and around the business at a young age. As a kid, the Market was sort of his “daycare” during the summer and most holidays while his parents were at work. In high school, he worked part-time after school and during the summers. This was his introduction to hard work and responsibility.

After high school, Shane joined the Marine Corps where he spent the next six years learning a plethora of skills and knowledge, the most important being leadership. He spent his first two years in Pohang, South Korea as an Aviation Ordnance Technician. For the next three years, he served as an Embassy Security Guard assigned to the following U.S. diplomatic missions: American Embassies: Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Budapest, Hungary; and Algiers, Algeria.

Returning home in 2014, Shane joined his cousin Beau in an effort to expand the family business. The next several years were spent learning everything he could from Beau and Donald in preparation for the opening of a second location. With a successful grand opening in March 2023. He now Manages the original location in Thibodaux while Beau gets a new chapter started in Gray. His passions within the company are leadership, marketing/branding, butchery, and customer relations.

Shane and his wife Brittany live here in Thibodaux with their two girls, Austyn and Aubrie. After hours, Shane is a Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt Instructor at Next Generation Martial Arts in Thibodaux. On the weekends, his passions include hunting, fishing, spearfishing, freediving, and playing music.
